We are Nabi Saleh

We are Nabi Saleh’ is the portrait of a Palestinian village in resistance. Various aspects of the Israeli occupation are reflected in this village with only 500 inhabitants.
This little village in the West Bank will never be the same when in 1977, forty Jewish families move into an abandoned British fortress, only a few miles from Nabi Saleh. With the coming of this colony (Halamish) begins the infamous scenario.
A checkpoint is installed at the entrance of Nabih Saleh, olive trees are cut for security reasons and orders for the demolition of houses follow.
In 2009 the source of the village has been taken over by the colony. From that moment, every Friday the residents of Nabih Saleh organise a protest march towards the source. Every Friday the protest is beaten down with injuries and arrests as a result.

The creators of the documentary “We are Nabi Saleh” followed the protests for six months and stayed several weeks in the village to make a unique portrait of Nabi Saleh.
The first view of We Are Nabi Saleh was expected in April but because we didn’t found budget, the release will be postponed until September.

how can the jewish race allow this brutal assault on the peace-loving palestinian people.

  15. Khaled Khawaja says:

How many Nabi Saleh’s do we have in Palestine??!!

Thanks for the great work and the high risk you have taken to make it possible for some people arround the world to see and understand what Zionism and colonialism are about? and how they are two faces to ther same coin.
With those Israeli soldiers coming from as far as Russia, Poland, france and the USA, in the name of religion to occupy Palestine, terrorise it’s children and innocent civilians, and push palestinians out of their homes to a diaspora as refugees. Or face the daily terror punishment for refusing to obey orders and leave their land and homeland.

This looks like an excellent film in the making. I am full of admiration for you the film makers, and for the brave people of Nabih Saleh.
I was especially touched by the exchange between the mother and young boy –
“…and if they give our land back will you stop throwing stones?”
    “Yes.”
Wishing you the best of luck in finishing this film.

hello to all of you guys,
    my name is netanel.
i am israely, i am 23′ and resently i have finished my army service in golay forces.
i want to describe you the image as i see it.
my grandparenet are halcoust survivers from hungary. they came here to the land they dream abot for 2000 years and belong to them by our old nation fathers.
    we have no other land.
this is our place were we can be protected.
the palestinan people from the other hand are not even a nation. they are arabs from jorden, lebnon and gaza who tride at 48 and later at 67 to killed as all and still triyng to do so.
at this wor between our uniqe nation and the arabs who have a lot of statse around us we never wanted to kill any children or innocent citizens. it true, sumtimes during the fight to our freedom accidents happend. we are sorry for that. that i am telling you as a commander in the israel defence forces.
our enemy the other hand made teror actions intentionally in buses full of childrens, resturans, and even in scools.
they are think we shoulde all die, i dont think that way on them.
the army actions you sow in you movies, all made becouse we have truely need for sequrity. you should see the complete image. we can be right even if we stronger.
i hope, that one day we wont have to fight any more for our rights, i wish it for my sun. i want to bellive that i killed enough for him. and lost enough frainds and familly.
i’ll be glad to rospond seriously for any one of you who want that in my email.
